No harsh measures against Naxals: Centre

The government does not believe in taking harsh measures against Maoists in its bid to solve the Naxal menace in a haste,Union Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal on Wednesday said.

“The Centre can solve the Maoist problem within a fortnight,but by taking harsh measure it does not want to turn the problem into terrorism,” the Union Minister of State for Coal told reporters here.
