Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made it clear that he was not breaching security by mingling with the crowd during election campaigning as it was done with the knowledge of those guarding him.
“It is actually not a breach of security. It is agreed with my security people upfront that I will do that and they choose the place and area where I am allowed to do that,” Gandhi told reporters in Kolkata.
He was asked about the “breach of security” during his visit to Purulia on Friday. “It was not actually breaching security. It was discussed with my security people and they allowed me. I generally like to meet people. So I tell them that look in this meeting could we arrange one or two places where I can meet people and they will decide. This makes sense for them and they do it. There is no security breach,” he said.
Asked whether his sister Priyanka scolded him for such acts,Gandhi said “my sister scolds me for many things. So I also scold her.”
