The admissions for six-semester,three-year degree course began Thursday. The academic session is likely to start from June 15. The university will offer a three-year degree course in ashtang yoga, karma, bhakti yoga, philosophy, psychology, anatomy, ayurveda and naturopathy. Modi delivered the hour-long speech, emphasizing the importance of yoga as the Indian legacy.
The whole world is curious about yoga. It would have been better if successive governments of our country had included it as a path to connect India with the entire world, Modi said. I hope and wish that Lakulish University, inspired by an authority on yoga,Swami Rajarshi Muni, will prepare complete yoga teachers who will spread it in the whole world, he added. Swami Rajarshi Muni said the university will not have any language barrier and anybody from across the world can pursue yoga courses at the university.
