Gadkari welcomes invitation to Pak heads

BJP President Nitin Gadkari welcomed the invitation extended to top Pakistan leaders to the first semifinal World Cup match between India and that country,saying it was part of the country’s culture.

“It’s the culture of our county. The government has invited them and we are not displeased at the invitation extended to them to watch cricket,” Gadkari replied to a query at a news conference here.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has invited Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani to watch the semifinal between the two cricketing rivals in Mohali scheduled to be held on March 30.

Gilani has accepted the invitation after a two hour-long midnight meeting with Zardari.
