The snowfall was most experienced in the tourist destinations of Gulmarg and Sonamarg, where several inches of snow accumulated. Other mountainous areas in Kashmir also reported snowfall, while Srinagar and other plain areas were drenched in rain.
The arrival of winter also brings a fresh cold breeze to the northern part of the country.
