Punjab’s Chief Minister echoed the emotions of many, and paid tributes to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1999 Kargil conflict.
In a post on X, Mann said, “We heartily salute the valor and sacrifices of all the brave soldiers who wrote an unparalleled history of bravery in the 1999 Kargil War on the occasion of Kargil Day. Their spirit and courage will always be remembered.”
Mallikarjun Kharge pays tribute to soldiers on Vijay Diwas
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge paid tribute to the soldiers who valiantly defended our motherland in the Kargil War.
In a post on X, “On Kargil Vijay Diwas, we extend our heartfelt greetings to the brave soldiers of our Armed Forces, ex-servicemen, their families and all fellow Indians. We bow in reverence and salute the supreme sacrifice of our martyrs who valiantly defended our motherland in the Kargil War.”
“Their unflinching courage and valour will forever inspire generations. Jai Hind,” he added.
‘Their valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten’: M K Stalin
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin also paid tributes to Kargil war martyrs, saying that their valour and sacrifice would never be forgotten.
In a post on X, “On this Kargil Victory Day, tribute to the brave soldiers who defended our motherland with unmatched courage and laid down their lives”.
“Their valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten,” Stalin said.
‘Being victorious is our nature’: Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya paid tribute to the soldiers who died in the 1999 Kargil war by leading hundreds of youths in a padyatra in Ladakh.
Mandaviya urged the participants to dedicate themselves to building a strong and developed India, guided by a “Nation First” spirit. “We have always been victorious. Being victorious is our nature,” he said.
He was joined by the Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and LAHDC Kargil Chairman.
Assam chief minister pays tribute
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma echoed the emotions of his colleagues, saying that the victory reiterated our commitment to protect the honour of Maa Bharti.
In a post on X, Biswa said, “On Kargil Vijay Diwas, we remember the courage and sacrifice of our brave forces who fought against the enemy in the icy heights and dealt them a body blow.”
CDS General Anil Chauhan pays tribute to martyrs of Kargil war
On the ocassion of 26th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan paid heartfelt tribute to the Indian Armed Forces, Veterans, Veer Naris & their families.
In a post on X, he wrote, “General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff #CDS extends heartfelt greetings to All Ranks of the #IndianArmedForces, Veterans, Veer Naris & their families.”
