Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia aka Beer Biceps on Saturday claimed that people had sent death threats to him and his family, adding that some had also invaded his mother’s clinic pretending to be patients.
“I’m watching death threats pour in from people saying that they want to kill me and hurt my family. People have invaded my mother’s clinic posing as patients. I’m feeling scared and I don’t know what to do,” Allahbadia posted on social media platforms X and Instagram.
Apologising again for his remarks on the YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’, Allahbadia said, “My remark about parents was insensitive and disrespectful. It is my moral responsibility to do better and I am genuinely sorry. But I’m not running away.”
He further said that his team and him were cooperating with the police and other authorities, adding that he will follow due process and “be available to all agencies”. Allahbadia also expressed his faith in the police and the judicial system of India.
Allahbadia’s comments come a day after he approached the Supreme Court seeking relief in multiples cases registered over his comments on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show.
The podcaster had also failed to appear before the police in Mumbai on Friday after a second summons was issued to him over “vulgar” jokes in the show. Following this, two teams of the Khar police and the Assam Police reached Allahabadia’s Versova residence. After the teams found his house locked, the police pasted a notice outside asking him to appear before them at the earliest.
