Youth who rammed car into six in Kerala village, held in Tamil Nadu

The native of Thrissur was arrested in Palani, Tamil Nadu, where he had been hiding after the attack on Tuesday.

Puthuppalli Shibin, the 21-year-old who went on a rampage by knocking down six persons over a spurned marriage proposal, was arrested on Thursday.

The native of Thrissur was arrested in Palani, Tamil Nadu, where he had been hiding after the attack on Tuesday.

Shibin had knocked down a college student with his car after she rejected his proposal. He has been stalking her for last year since she turned down his proposal.

On Tuesday, he drove his car through a narrow road and knocked her down as she was returning home from a local temple in Thrissur.  When local people rushed to rescue her, Shibin took a u-turn and ploughed his vehicle into them, injuring five others.
