A raid was conducted and police arrested Rachit and sent five minor girls to the city civil hospital for medical examination.

We are investigating the matter and a case has been registered against Rachit,Dayal said.

Spokesperson of the NGO Anju Guliani said,“Some people are trying to defame our NGO and making false allegation against us. We are working for the children who were victimised by someone in the past.

NGO officials said Rachit had quit his job one year ago and had gone to Chennai. He returned to the orphanage 15 days ago, they said.

“Rachit had not been working regularly with our orphanage and he had come to meet us. When he arrived at the orphanage, one of our cooks asked him for help as she was feeling ill,” said an NGO worker. There are 60 children at the shelter and 16 of them are girls.
