"I must do the penance that lacerates me," claims Tejpal and offers to not come to the office for 6 months. Only in India.

Deeply shocked, saddened, horrified at what happened at Tehelka. Tarun's been a friend for years, suddenly seems like a stranger..why,Tarun?

Precis of Tejpal's letter: Tehelka is great. I am sorry. I'll sit at home for 6 months. Tehelka is great. Tehelka is great. Tehelka is great

Tarun Tejpal atones by recusing 4 six months; BJP says father/daughter have no complaint. Isn't it 4 state 2 decide culpability 4 crimes?
— K. C. Singh (@ambkcsingh) November 21,2013
If the incident is not immediately investigated and Tarun Tejpal does not resign,it is the end of Tehelka @ShomaChaudhury
— Amitabh Mattoo (@amitabhmattoo) November 21,2013
And the thing is that Tejpal has not accepted that it was sexual assault. He makes it sound like a triviality.

But there were those who supported him too
It is a shame that some one with such impeccable values has committed such an act but unlike some he has the guts to accept and repent
