The CPM, too, has slammed the VHP for its economic blockade threat.

“The RSS and its by-products are hell bent on disrupting the communal and pluralistic ethos of Jammu and Kashmir, and have now started undermining the legitimacy of legislative Assembly,” said M Y Tarigami, state secretary of the CPM.

“The VHP and its ilk should try to comprehend that constitutional matters cannot be sorted out on streets and through threats of economic blockades or hooliganism. Such matters are discussed and deliberated upon in the august house of legislature,” he added.
