Stalker attacks 14-year-old with scissors, stabs her multiple times

The victim and the accused, both, belong to Dalit community.

A spurned lover attacked a class IX student with a pair of scissors, stabbing her multiple times, while she was asleep in her house in Vrindawan police station area of Mathura district, police said Friday. The accused, Dileep (24),  who was arrested after the incident on Thursday, was allegedly assaulted by father and brother of the 14-year-old girl a week ago after she had complained about him stalking her for past few months.

The victim, who has suffered injuries on her hands and back, is admitted to district hospital where doctors stated her condition as critical. The victim and the accused, both, belong to Dalit community.

Besides Dileep, the police have also arrested his younger brother Kishan and brother-in-law Dinesh for allegedly helping him execute the crime. They were produced before the court Friday, which sent them to judicial custody, said Vrindavan police station SHO, Akhilesh Kumar Tripathi.

Dileep runs a hair cutting salon while his brother Kishan works as daily wage labourer. Dinesh, who belongs to nearby Parkam Gujar village, runs a grocery shop. The victim’s father, too, is a daily wage labourer.
