The department of students’ welfare (DSW) of Mumbai University on Thursday came to the rescue of 12 MSc-IT students who feared losing an academic year owing to delay in their revaluation results.

The DSW have now promised to help them appear for their fifth semester exam in May. Mridul Nile, director DSW,who met the students on Thursday, said,“Even though the number of students affected by the delay is small,it was an important issue as their careers were at stake”.

The students of Institute of Distant and Open Learning had complained that as the date of admission had expired when they got their result, the varsity should allow them to appear for the fifth semester exams.
