Disgraced Haryana legislators,O P Jain and Zile Ram Sharma,have been deceptive during their polygraphy test conducted by the Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory,New Delhi,according to the chargesheet filed in the special CBI court in Panchkula.
Both are facing charges of abetment to suicide and corruption in a criminal case registered by the CBI in connection with the death of Karam Singh,former sarpanch of Kambopura village in Karnal.
In the chargesheet filed last month,the CBI mentions that the polygraphy examination conducted on .. Zile Ram Sharma and Om Prakash Jain shows there are deceptive responses to all the material questions put to them.
The CBI chargesheet also mentions the polygraphy test conducted on Rajinder Sharma,Jains personal assistant and reads,… the examination conducted on Sharma has inconclusive opinion,but the … test conducted on him earlier by Forensic Sciences Laboratory,Madhuban,Karnal,had shown deceptive responses to the material questions.
In its 31-page chargesheet,the CBI has elaborated how both ran a cash-for-jobs racket.
A statement by Rajinder Sharma,recorded before the Special Judicial Magistrate under Section 164 CrPC that also forms part of the chargesheet,says that Jain and his son Atul Jain used to collect money from general public on assurance of providing government jobs. Surinder Malik,s/o Deep Chand,r/o Hari Nagar … Panipat … ,had also paid Rs. 3 lakh each for the selection of Om Pal,s/o Hawa Singh,resident of … Sonepat and Kanwar Singh aka Kala,s/o Jaipal Singh … of Sonepat as peon to Atul Jain,s/o O P Jain. He further paid Rs. 7.5 lakh for the selection of Sonu,s/o Sri Pal,resident of … Jind as Patwari to Atul Jain in my presence.
CBI had sent the deceased Karam Singhs son Narenders mobile phone to CFSL,CBI,New Delhi for forensic examination. Narender had recorded the last words uttered by Karam Singh in the hospital at Karnal. A memory card containing that recording has also been sent for forensic examination. CBI has also seized a CPU and has sent it to the CFSL in New Delhi. Both reports are awaited.
