Rajnath says will help Babri litigant meet PM

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has called up Hashim Ansari — the oldest litigant in the Babri Masjid demolition case — to assure him that his desire to meet Narendra Modi will be conveyed to the Prime Minister.

Rajnath was in Lucknow on Saturday to visit his adopted village, but had not spoken much when asked about the Ansari’s desire to withdraw from the Babri Masjid case.

“Rajnath Singhji had called up on Saturday. He asked about abba’s health,” Iqbal Ansari, son of Hashim Ansari said. Iqbal added that Singh assured that Ansari’s intention to ensure a peaceful solution to the Babri Masjid case will be communicated to Modi.
