Former Maharashtra home minister and NCP leader R R Patil underwent an angiography procedure at the Bombay Hospital on Monday after he suffered from a cardiac arrest at his home on Saturday.
Immediately after suffering the cardiac arrest, a doctor gave him a cardiac massage at Patil’s residence to revive him following which he was rushed to the hospital. He is currently under observation in the Intensive Care Unit.
Dr B K Goyal, director of cardiology at Bombay Hospital, said: “We conducted angiography on him, but there were no blockages found in his arteries. We are still trying to ascertain how he suffered the attack. He is under observation and his medical paramenters will be checked to understand what led to the cardiac arrest.”
Patil is currently stable and will continue to be treated in the hospital for the next few days.
