Prasar Bharati Chief Executive Officer Jawhar Sircar Saturday ordered a probe after NITI Aayog member Bibek Debroy and noted academic and historian Pushpesh Pant remarked about the “shoddy treatment” and “sloppy production” during the recording of a Doordarshan programme.
“Shocking! Haven’t ever received such shoddy treatment or sat through such sloppy production in studio. Sabotage?” Pant tweeted, after the recording of Kitabnama. “Crew in studio much too casual. Couldn’t care less. Apparently bred (bored) with programme. No professional pride. Kitabnaama n Namita resented?” he said in another tweet.
“Recorded with @PushpeshPant for Kitabnama. DD’s inefficiency remarkable. @jawharsircar to note,” Debroy tweeted.
“Apologies: we’ll penalise!” Sircar tweeted in response.
“I have ordered full enquiry!” the Prasar Bharati CEO tweeted.
