PMC engineer held for Rs 10,000 bribe

The state ACB on Monday arrested a deputy engineer with Pune Municipal Corporation for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a construction firm for ensuring permission is granted for road-digging to lay down a new electric connection.

The state ACB on Monday arrested a deputy engineer with Pune Municipal Corporation for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a construction firm for ensuring permission is granted for road-digging to lay down a new electric connection. The ACB identified the engineer as Mushtaq Shaikh.
