PM Modi praises sacrifice of soldiers during ’65 war

“The valour and sacrifice of our armed forces during the 1965 war remains etched in the memory of every Indian. We are very proud of them,” the prime minister later tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday visited Shauryanjali, a commemorative exhibition on the Golden Jubilee of 1965 war, at Rajpath lawns. “The valour and sacrifice of our armed forces during the 1965 war remains etched in the memory of every Indian. We are very proud of them,” the prime minister later tweeted.

Modi, who spent almost two hours at the exhibition, was accompanied by BJP chief Amit Shah and Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, HRD Minister Smriti Irani, Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati besides others.

The exhibition is an ode to the valour and sacrifice of Indian Armed Forces personnel protecting the borders of the
country.
