The Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to entertain a clutch of PILs seeking court-monitored CBI probe into the alleged public distribution system scam in Chhattisgarh.
A bench led by Justice T S Thakur said that the petitioners should first go to the high court with their grievances.
“The petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty to approach the HC,” said the bench while clarifying it was not expressing its opinion on the merits of the petitions.
The Chhattisgarh Anti-Corruption Bureau is probing the alleged irregularities in supply of rice through PDS in the state.
The petitions were filed by former Congress MLA Virendra Pandey, advocate Sudeep Shrivastava and others.
