Union Food and Public Distribution Minister Ramvilas Paswan Sunday said the Bihar government had been going slow on implementation of the Food Security Act as it had procured only a half of its allotted food quota of three months. Paswan was speaking at a function in Hajipur to felicitate the LJP and the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party victory in the Lok Sabha elections. A portion of the stage at Hajipur stadium came down because of overcrowding. No one was hurt. Paswan, his son and Jamui MP Chirag Paswan, Vaishali MP Ramakishore Singh and RLSP leader Upendra Kushwaha were among those on the stage.
