After successfully generating enthusiasm amongst the captains of Indian Industry to invest in the state,Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is now taking steps to attract Kashmiri business groups across the world to put in money in the region.
“Time has come for all Kashmiri entrepreneurs and reputed Kashmiri companies who have excelled in different parts of the world to avail the opportunity of public-private partnership and invest liberally to rebuilt tourist and other related infra-structure in Kashmir”,Abdullah said while interacting with world reputed Ashai Group last evening.
The executive members of the Ashai Group who have taken up mega projects in Dubai and other developed countries were also present.
The group informed the Chief Minister that 5 trillion dollars earmarked for the development of infrastructure is available throughout the world and if the J&K government creates more congenial atmosphere for investment through public-private partnership avenues maximum portion of these funds can be attracted to the State,an official spokesman said today.
The CM believes that the group can play a wider role in attracting world reputed tourist infra-structure,housing five star hotels in the state.
