Omar Abdullah accuses Mufti Mohammed Sayeed govt of spying on him

Former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah said that a journalist who had come to interview him was stopped outside the house by an official of the Central Investigation Department.

Former J&K Chief Minister and National Conference working President Omar Abdullah on Friday accused the state government of spying on him.

In a series of tweets, Omar said that a journalist who had come to interview Omar was stopped outside the house by an official of the Central Investigation Department (CID).

“Mufti Govt brazenly spying on me. A journalist interviewing me for a national daily just got stopped right outside my gate by CID person,” Omar tweeted on Friday afternoon.

In another tweet, Omar Abdullah said that the journalist was asked the purpose of her visit by the CID officials. “She was asked who she was & what the purpose of her visit was! Seriously guys if you want to know just ask me, I couldn’t care less if U do,” (Sic)Omar said in another tweet.

The former CM asked JK Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed not to “accost people outside my gate.” “Dear Mufti Sb if you & your apparatchiks want to know what I’m up to pick up the phone & ask me. Please don’t accost people outside my gate!,”(Sic) said Omar in a tweet.
