Three Delhi Metro stations,including the busy Rajiv Chowk,will be closed two hours before their scheduled time on Friday due to security restrictions in the area in view of the New Year.
Rajiv Chowk,Barakhamba Road and Mandi House stations will be closed from 9 PM on New Years eve and sale of tickets at all the three stations will stop at 8.45 PM,a DMRC spokesman said today.
The stations will be closed from 9 PM. Usually,Metro stations are open till 11 PM.
However,interchange facility between Line-2 (HUDA City Centre¿Jahangirpuri) and Line-3 (Dwarka Sec-21¿NOIDA Sec-32) will remain operational at the Rajiv Chowk Metro station.

The trains from Dwarka to Noida/Anand Vihar and back will not stop at Barakhamba Road and Mandi House Metro stations after 9 PM.
Services at all other Metro corridors and stations will continue normally. However,no tokens for Rajiv Chowk,Barakhamba Road and Mandi House stations will be issued from terminal stations.
