Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Beijing on Thursday night, for the second leg of his three-day China tour. After delegation level talks with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang on issues of mutual interests including the boundary issue and the trade imbalance, both countries signed a record 24 bilateral agreements.

Prime Minister talks about various economic aspects. He said, “We have mandate to make economic change.

While addressing the students Prime Minister said, “Geography and history tell us that the dream of an interconnected Asia will be successful, when India and China work together.”

10: 20 am: Prime Minister Modi continues to pitch for the federal system and better cooperation between Centre and states, says, “I speak of Team India. I believe foundation for India’s development will not be single pillar of Centre but 30 pillars of Centre, States.”

Talking about the forum he said, “Such a forum is a first that India has with any country. And, it is appropriate that it has started with China.”

9: 54 am: Emphasising on the boundary issue, Prime Minister said, “On the boundary question, we agreed that we continue to explore a fair, reasonable and mutually acceptable resolution.”

Prime Minister also thanked China and said, “The Nathu La route for Indian pilgrims to visit Kailash Mansarovar will become operational in June. I want to thank China for that.”

He also said, “I sought tangible progress on issues relating to visa policy and trans-border rivers. I also discussed some of our regional concerns.”

Protocal between the Government of India and China on establishment of Consulates-General at Chengdu and Chennai and the Extension of the Consular district of the Consulate General of India in Guangzhou to include Jiangxi province

Action Plan between the National Railway Administration of China and Ministry of Railway of India on enhancing cooperation in Railway Sector (2015-2016)

Agreements on skill development, vocational education and sister cities were signed  between India, China in Beijing.
