A middle-aged man, his lover and their two sons were arrested on charges of murdering his minor daughter who objected to his extra-marital affair.

Police identified the arrested as P Benny, a 42-year-old from Irinjalakudua, his paramour Bibitha, 38, of Malappuram. Besides, the minor sons of Benny and Bibitha were also arrested for the murder. The body of Benny’s 12-year-old daughter was found on the railway track in Kozhikode two months back.

According to police, Benny had been staying away from his wife Julie for the past couple of years. However, the couple’s son and daughter were living with Benny, who developed an affair with Bibitha, who was also estranged from her husband.

Police said Benny’s daughter had objected to the relationship of her father. But, Benny conspired with Bibitha to annihilate his daughter. They took the daughter to Kozhikode under the pretext of a visit to a local beach. In an abandoned building, the girl was strangulated to death. Their two sons abetted the crime, by holding the victims legs and hands to the floor while the father and his lover strangulated the girl. After she died, the body was thrown on a railway track.

Before killing the girl, the alleged accused father had forcefully tonsured the head of the victim as a strategy to prevent police from identifying her. Police found her disfigured body, run over by trains.
