The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has decided against blacklisting Rolls Royce which is facing a CBI probe in a case pertaining to alleged involvement of middlemen in bagging a contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The case pertains to supplying of engines to HAL for manufacturing of Hawk Advanced Jet Trainers for the Indian Air Force.

According to sources, the decision clears way for the IAF and the Navy for procurement of systems/maintenance requirements even as the CBI probe in the case continues.
