Mahalokadalat,special drive dispose of 1.92 lakh cases

As many as 1.92 lakh cases were settled in the fifth mahalokadalat and under a special drive conducted by Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA),Sunday.

In the mahalokadalat conducted in district and taluka courts across the state,1,31,346 cases,including civil,criminal,cheque bounce,ex-cadre court,land acquisition and pre-litigation,were disposed of.

Under the special drive,60,969 cases of petty offences such as traffic rules violation in 32 districts were brought to an end.

The bi-annual mahalokadalat generated good response following regular announcements and awareness programmes by MSLSA.
