During investigation, police learnt that Gulla, a resident of Sadpur, had been booked under the state’s cow slaughter act and was out on bail. After coming out of jail, he again took to transporting cows with Ganesh.
Gulli told police that on May 23 he found that the duo had collected several cattle for illegal transport. He told them not to do so and had an argument with them. Gulli said he chased the duo and attacked them with an axe.
