LPG cylinder blast injures 42 in Kishtwar district

The cause of cylinder blast is yet to be ascertained.

Forty-two people including women and children were injured in an LPG cylinder blast in Kishtwar district on Wednesday.

Pointing out that 35 of the injured have been hospitalized at government district hospital in Kishtwar,sources said that the injured were attending a marriage function at the house of one Kewal Krishan at village Kaligarh in Sarthal area when two LPG cylinders blasted one after another. The cause of cylinder blast is yet to be ascertained.

The sounds of laughter and the beating of drums immediately got replaced by wail of injured. After first aid,the other people in the village immediately rushed the serious ones to Kishtwar.

The police have registered a case and started investigations.
