Former GOA minister Churchill Alemao was arrested by the Crime Branch in Louis Berger bribery case on Wednesday.
Alemao, who was earlier questioned by the Crime Branch officials, was the PWD minister when Digambar Kamat was the chief minister.
The case relates to the admission in a US court by officials of Louis Berger that they bribed Indian officials to win two water developmental projects in Goa and Assam.
Kamat was heading the state between 2007 and 2012 when the consultancy firm allegedly doled out the bribes to win the consultancy for a water project under JICA funding.
In another development, a local court fixed August 7 for hearing the anticipatory bail application of Kamat.
