Kerala youth arrested for posting abusive Facebook comments against Modi

A Kerala youth was arrested on charges of posting abusive comments and photos on Facebook against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The case was registered against Rajeesh at Anchal police limits in Kollam district on Tuesday after he had posted three abusive posts on Facebook. An RSS worker had complained against Rajeesh – a local CPI (M) worker.

Police said in one of the posts a picture of Modi was shown with an imprint of a shoe on his face.

The posting had abusive comments against Modi. In another post, police said the alleged accused made comments which could trigger communal tension.

He was charged with sections 66 (a) and 67 of IT Act and IPC 153.
