Kasni appointed secy to Haryana governor
Chandigarh: A senior IAS officer of Haryana,Neelam Pardeep Kasni,was transferred on Monday as the Secretary to Governor of Haryana. She was previously posted as Commissioner Ambala Division and Project Director,Haryana AIDS Control Society. Besides Kasni,the Haryana government also transferred five other IAS and 28 HCS officers with immediate effect. Among the IAS officers transferred include,Prabhjot Singh now posted as ADC-cum-CEO,DRDA,Mahendragarh at Narnaul; Amit Khatri as Sub Divisional Officer (civil),Palwal,Vinay Pratap Singh as Sub Divisional Officer (civil),Ambala and Estate Officer,HUDA,Ambala; Amit Dahiya as Sub Divisional Officer (civil) and Estate Officer,Jagadhari; Vijay Kumar Siddappa Bhavikatti,posted as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil),Ferozepur Jhirka.
Man held for killing paramours husband
Chandigarh: With the arrest of one Amit,the Haryana police on Monday claimed to have solved the murder case of a Rohtak resident,Anil Kumar,who was found dead on July 3. Amit allegedly murdered Anil as he was having an illicit relationship with Anils wife. Amits accomplice,Rajkamal,who also helped him in the murder,is absconding. Amit and his accomplice Rajkamal took Anil in their car to Sunderpur Colony road on the night of July 3. After reaching a secluded spot,Amit strangulated Anil and then dumped his body on the Sampla-Beri road, said ASP Rajesh Duggal.
Two Gurgaon firms blacklisted
Chandigarh: On finding the sanitation work not upto the mark,the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon has blacklisted two firms Shri Balaji Security Services and Perfect Manpower Solution Pvt Ltd Gurgaon. The firms tenders have also been cancelled. According to the tender conditions,the contractors were required to deploy 2,136 sweepers with all necessary equipment for cleanliness and garbage transportation vehicles like tractors etc. But when their work of last two months was reviewed,it was found that both these firms neither fulfilled the condition of deploying adequate manpower nor provided sufficient equipment to clean the city, said PC Meena,Commissioner,MC,Gurgaon.
Kisan melas to be held this month
Chandigarh: The Punjab Agriculture University,Ludhiana,has planned to organise kisan melas in September,this year. The melas would be organised at the main campus of the university as well as its various regional stations/krishi vigayan kendras. Scientists of the university would demonstrate various technologies for crop production and post-harvest management during these melas.
Twins among 4 dead in Sonepat accident
CHANDIGARH: Four persons,including twin sisters,died in an accident on Monday when the car in which they were travelling collided with a road berm after being hit by an unidentified vehicle. ENS
