The boy continued to hit the girl’s legs with the same axe and then ran away. Passersby came to the girl’s rescue and rushed her to the hospital.”

The girl was admitted to Rewari civil hospital’s trauma centre in a critical condition. The girl’s parents and villagers were informed about the incident. The agitated mob first vandalised Rahul’s residence in an attempt to find him. When they learnt that Rahul was at the Bharawas police post, the mob stormed the place and assaulted him. The policemen present there could not protect him.

Rahul was also admitted to the Rewari civil hospital’s trauma centre in a critical condition. The villagers also blocked the road outside Bharawas police post and demanded stern action against Rahul.

In his statement recorded by the police,Rahul claimed that he was in love with the girl and had expressed his feelings to her several times but she did not respond. She complained against him to her parents and they reprimanded him.
