JD(U) on Tuesday targetted Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Rajya Sabha over controversial remarks by some leaders of BJP and VHP questioning whether he is “complicit” in all this or his writ does not run.

Referring to recent controversial remarks of Subramanian Swamy, Sadhvi Prachi, Praveen Togadia and some others, JD(U)
member Pawan Varma asked the BJP to stop making a distinction between itself and the associated organizations.

He said that at a ‘Virat Hindu Sammelan’ of VHP, a remark was made about continuance of the ‘ghar wapsi’ programme.

He alleged that a “fear psychosis” is sought to be created by asking muslims and christians to recognise that their ancestors were hindus.
