Jamiat-e Ahle Hadith,a socio- religious body, today condemned the anti-Islam video that led to a US envoy’s killing in Libya.

“The blasphemous material about Prophet Muhammad hosted on internet is a highly condemnable act. Islam does not allow deriding other religions or their places of worship. Any blasphemous activity against Islam is against humanity,” JAH’s chief Ghulam Rasool Malik said.

In an apparent reference to the killing of US Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens,Malik said punishing a person for someone else’s misdeeds is also not permitted in Islam.

Malik claimed attempts have been made in Kashmir recently to fuel sectarian divide but people and the leadership has exhibited maturity and patience in dealing with the situation.

He said Jamiat-e Ahle Hadith will hold talks with other Islamic organisations for chalking out a strategy to deal with attempts to create sectarian divide.
