In his very first meeting with party workers, state Congress chief Pratap Singh Bajwa made it clear that indiscipline will not be tolerated and that it had cost them dear in the Assembly elections.

Admitting that there was gross indiscipline in the party,Bajwa said: “It will not be tolerated for sure, but I am giving time to the workers to improve themselves. There will be a change and that will be seen for sure.” Also admitting that groupism existed in the party,he said: “There is no party without groupism and I will sort out the differences,if any.”

While praising former party chief Captain Amarinder Singh,Bajwa asked workers: “Now the time has come to leave your AC rooms. You had enough rest. It is time to get your bodies massaged and be ready for work at grassroot level.”

He added that the political vendetta helpline was getting very good response in Amritsar and had received over 1,500 calls in just two days. “But we will deal only with vendetta cases related to our workers. There were calls from general public but free legal help will be only for our workers,” he added.
