A trough in the lower level westerlies extending upto 0.9 km a.s.l. runs from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim to south Chhattisgarh through Jharkhand and Orissa.

Forecast valid until the morning of Feb 14th. Rain/thundershowers at;

East: Isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh,West Bengal,Sikkim,Jharkhand,Bihar and mainly dry in Assam,Meghalaya,Nagaland,Manipur,Mizoram,Tripura and Orissa.

North: A few places in Jammu and Kashmir; isolated places in Uttar Pradesh,Uttarkhand,Haryana,Punjab,Himachal Pradesh,north Rajasthan and mainly dry in south Rajasthan.

Central: Mainly dry.

Peninsula: Mainly dry.

Islands: A few places in Andaman and Nicobar and mainly dry in Lakshadweep.

A fresh western disturbance as an upper air system lies over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. The trough in mid and upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 kms a.s.l. now runs roughly along Longitude 88 degree east to the north of Latitude 20 degree.

Above two systems are likely to head eastnortheastwards. A trough of low at sea level lies over south Andaman sea and neighbourhood.

The western disturbance as an upper air system over eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir has moved away northeastwards. The cyclonic circulation over Haryana and neighbourhood has become less marked. The trough of low at sea level over southeast and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal has also become less marked.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in Konkan,Goa and in some parts of Vidarbha and were below normal in some parts of east Madhya Prdesh,Madhya Maharashtra,Marathwada,Tamil Nadu and of interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Vidarbha.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Orissa and west Rajasthan and in some parts of Assam,Meghalaya,Gangetic West Bengal,Jharkhand,Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir and were above normal in some parts of Manipur,Sub-Himalayan West Bengal,Jharkhand,Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir and were above normal in some parts of Manipur,Sub-Himalayan West Bengal,Sikkim,east Rajasthan and of Chattisgarh. They were normal over the rest of the country.

North: Most places in Uttarkhand; isolated places in Haryana,Himachal Pradesh,Jammu and Kashmir and mainly dry in Uttar Pradesh,Punjab and Rajasthan. Tehir 2.7,Dehra Dun 1.5,Phoolbagh 1.0,Shimla,Srinagar and Chandigarh 0.1 each.

Central: Mainly dry.

Peninsula: Isolated places in Kerala and mainly dry in Gujarat state,Konkan,Goa,Madhya Maharashtra,Marathwada,Andhra Pradesh,Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Alapuzha 2.9.

Islands: Mainly dry.
