Court sentences 2 in sex scandal case

The Patiala CBI court on Thursday sentenced two persons to seven-years imprisonment after finding them guilty in a sex scandal case.

The CBI had filed an FIR against Ajay Kumar and Simran for immoral trafficking in 2007. The duo were booked on the complaint of one Manpreet Kaur, who like Ajay and Simran is a resident of Moga.

Ajay Kumar and Simran were booked for running a sex racket in Moga and booked under Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act. Interestingly, this case is different from the infamous Moga sex scandal in which son of senior Akali leader Tota Singh along with some police officers have been booked.
