COME Thursday,Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is set to shower incentives on Rewari at a rally organised by Power Minister Captain Ajay Singh Yadav.
Hooda,who will also address a rally at Mirpur,will inaugurate and lay foundation for projects worth over Rs 166.28 crore in Rewari. The projects to be inaugurated involved an investment of about Rs 30.69 crore. These included Rs 7.96-crore second academic block at Indira Gandhi Regional Centre of Maharshi Dayanand University at Mirpur. Hooda will also unveil the statue of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at the regional centre,said Yadav.
The power minister also hoped that Hooda will also announce that the regional centre at Mirpur be converted to a university. Last year,Yadav cancelled a similar rally because Hooda refused to concede to his demand of converting the centre to a university.
The other projects to be inaugurated by Hooda included a newly built banquet (Rs 5.39 crore) at gymkhana club in Rewari,a new sabzi mandi (Rs 7.32 crore) on Bawal road and a 5.9-km-long minor (Rs 8.20 crore) at Khatwali. This minor will benefit villages like Fadni,Jitpura,Alamgirpur,Khatwali and Khaliyawas.
While the projects for which Hooda will lay foundation involved an investment of about Rs 135.59 crore,(see box) the projects to be inaugurated by him were worth Rs 30.69 crore.

*Inaugurate building of Primary Land Improvement Bank (Rs 1.21 crore) at Rewari and Pt Chiranji Lal Memorial Hall (Rs 15 lakh) at Brahamgarh complex.
*Lay foundation of a water supply project (Rs 55.14 crore) at Dharuhera and a sewerage treatment plant (Rs 6 crore).
*Lay foundation of Rao Abhey Singh Industrial Training Centre (Rs 4.73 crore) and Government Veterinary Hospital (Polyclinic) worth Rs 5.05 crore at Saharanwas.
