Govt to invite foreign diplomats to Kashmir over advisories

In a bid to boost tourism,J-K govt plans to hold discussions with representatives of the European and Commonwealth countries this summer asking them not to issue advisories on travel to Kashmir.

In a bid to boost tourism,Jammu and Kashmir government plans to hold discussions with representatives of the European and Commonwealth countries this summer asking them not to issue advisories on travel to Kashmir,a minster said on Wednesday.

However,even with advisories in place,the state recorded an arrival of over 25,000 foreign tourists last year,Minister for Tourism,Nawang Rigzin Jora said.
