The family of the 17-year-old,who was allegedly gangraped in Noida on Friday night, has alleged that four men arrived at their house on Monday and threatened to kill them if they revealed any further details.

Five persons have been arrested in the case.

The family said,“Around 11 pm,four men came to our house and started shouting for us to open the door. When we didn’t,they pelted stones at our house. Finally, they threatened us that if we continued to speak to police, they would kill the entire family. We called the police helpline and a PCR arrived at our house. They (the miscreants) had left by then.”

Senior officers confirmed the incident. “We are investigating who these miscreants were. We have posted a PCR van outside the house,to make sure this does not happen again. We are making all efforts that the victim and her family don’t come under any pressure and remain safe,” an officer said.

While speaking to the media about the arrest of the four accused (the fifth person was arrested later),the Noida police on Sunday had given out sensitive details about the victim — her name and address.

On February 24,the Class X student was allegedly gangraped by five men, after she met one of them near Priyadarshi Park in Sector-12.

During the Sunday press conference,Superintendent of Police (City) Anant Dev said the girl “went willingly with them to consume vodka”.

The statement and the revelation of the victim’s identity drew flak from the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights and the UP Commission for Women, which asked for a report on the matter. Following this, the UP Police ordered an inquiry into the matter.
