Goa court grants permission to Tarun Tejpal to meet his ailing mother

Tejpal's mother is reportedly suffering from brain tumor and is in the last stages of her life.

Former Tehelka editor and rape-accused Tarun Tejpal was on Friday allowed to meet his ailing mother.

The Goa court accepted Tejpal’s plea to grant him permission to meet his mother who is suffering from brain Tumor. Tejpal submitted an application to Additional Sessions Judge along with medical certificates of his mother, Shakuntala Tejpal. He said she is in the last stages of her life.

Shakuntala Tejpal is reportedly admitted in a hospital that is 50 km from the Sada sub-jail Tarun Tejpal is currently lodged in. He will be escorted by the police to the hospital.
