Girl escapes from abductors’ clutches

The girl complained five people put a piece of cloth on her nose and took her away in a van.

A 20-year-old girl escaped from the clutches of five youths who allegedly abducted her in a van in the district.

In her police complaint,the girl,a resident of Lakshmi Garden,said that she was on her way to a college here to submit her sister’s fees yesterday when five people,including two her neighbours,put a piece of cloth on her nose and took her away in a van.

When the girl gained consciousness later in the night,she found herself in a van parked at an isolated place near a village.

However,after a while,the drunk youths fell asleep and she managed to escape and reached her house early this morning.

A medical examination has ruled out sexual assault,police said,adding that a case has been registered and investigations are on.
