Eight-feet long python found in Jalpaiguri home

Locals managed to capture it inside a sack and took it for treatment to a local snake expert.

An eight-feet long python was today found hanging from a ceiling in a house at village Mynatuli in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district.

Forest department officials said the pyhton was found hanging from the ceiling in a house of one Basanta Ray, who had informed about the snake.

But before they could reach Ray’s house, locals managed to capture it inside a sack and took it for treatment, to a local snake expert, as the snake had got hurt while being carried, they said.

The python was later released into the nearby Khutimari jungle by the officials of forest department.
