Drug racket case: Punjab HC asks ED to cancel transfer of official probing the case

Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday directed the Enforcement Directorate not to implement tranfer orders of its Assistant Director Niranjan Singh probing Rs 6,000 crore drug racket and money laundering case in Punjab till February 2.

HC observed that when the court is monitoring the drug racket probe how can the ED transfer the officer without taking consent from court and that too at a crucial time.

HC has directed ED to produce transfer record of Niranjan Singh on February 2.
