After a barrage of controversial statements by Sangh outfits, the VHP Sunday cautioned Hindu leaders against making comments which could create “trouble” for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“After a long time, a government has been formed at the Centre which is abreast of Hindu culture and faith… Hindu leaders should make balanced statements,” VHP international president Raghav Reddy said here on the outskirts of the city. He asked the Sangh leaders to give Prime Minister Modi some time.
“Let Modi work…give him some time… he will make the dream of ‘Bhartiyata’ in the days to come,” he said and asked Hindu leaders to “refrain from making statements that later create trouble for the Prime Minister”.
“Modi is aware about the culture and faith of people in the country,” Reddy said.
