Cyber crime: Gurgaon police offer summer internships

Gurgaon police said they plan to launch 'summer internships with their cyber crime investigation cell' for those living and working in Gurgaon.

Gurgaon police said they plan to launch ‘summer internships with their cyber crime investigation cell’ for those living and working in Gurgaon. Gurgaon Police Commissioner Alok Mittal said,“We require the services of professionals and residents of Gurgaon who specialise in cyber crime”. The internship will be open to students of engineering and computer science when their during their college summer holidays,he said.

“We want to use their help and skills to control hi-tech crime,such as online fraud and social networking crime. We require the technical know-how of professionals,students and residents who are specialists in the field of cyber crime. We are ready to train them to work jointly with police. They will also be given training certificates.”

Police said if they get a good response,the initiative will be launched. Further,to modernise the force,police are also looking to develop ‘android applications’ with the help of young professionals.
