A local court Saturday asked the Goa government to give Tarun Tejpal the unedited CCTV footage of the area near a lift in the hotel where the former Tehelka editor allegedly sexually assaulted a woman colleague last year.
Tejpal had earlier requested the fast track court for the footage of the area in the hotel from November 7, 2013 — when the crime was alleged to have happened — till when he was arrested on November 29. The footage is part of the charge-sheet filed by crime branch of police.
His lawyers had maintained the proof of Tejpal’s innocence lies in the footage procured by the investigating agency.
