Established in the shape of consumer courts to redress the complaints of consumers in Jammu and Kashmir,State and Divisional Consumer Dispute Redressal Commissions (CDRCs) has disposed off 26001 cases in the state.
State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commissions (CDRC) and Divisional CDRC has disposed off 26001 cases this year in Jammu and Kashmir,officials said on Friday.
As many as 29542 cases have been received by the Commission at State and divisional levels since inception,they said.
While State CDRC has disposed off 5394 cases out of 6081 cases during the period,they said,adding that Divisional CDRC of Jammu region has disposed off 20607 cases out of 23461 cases.
The officers of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) and Legal Metrology have been authorised to address complaints against traders on the complaints of the Consumers.
